Secret Cajun Cuisine

Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen at the DFW Airport is an unexpected pleasure. This beautiful restaurant is one floor below the concourse and well-insulated against outside sounds. Five minutes into your meal, you will forget that you are dining at an airport.

Pappadeaux offers an extensive selection of cajun food that tastes like it came fresh from New Orleans. Free wi-fi and lightning-fast service make it a solid value.

Healthy Airport Food

I’ve found it challenging to find healthy food at major airports. Fortunately, I’m a fan of Panera Bread for its awesome sourdough French bread and salads.

At the Denver airport, I recommend the Paradise Bakery and Café, on the upper level.

At the San Francisco airport, my fave is the Boudin Sourdough Bakery and Café. Both vegans and carnivores can find affordable selections and fast service.

Wine

For red wine lovers who are willing to sell their plasma to pay for this beauty, the 2005 Provenance Cabernet Sauvignon deserves the 92 points that the Wine & Spirits reviewer awarded.

“Spicy, smoky new oak leaps out of the glass, like a blast of caramelized meringue, but the fruit is so rich that the oak is in balance. The underlying flavors of blackberries, licorice and chocolate are, in a word, delicious.”
